Two things to read carefully. First, a Dictalus rep and a Yoodli roleplay are different units: a rep is a 30 to 90 second scored take on your own, and a roleplay is a conversation with an AI. Second, the two training statements cover different things: ours is about third-party AI models, and Yoodli's is about improving its own platform. If that matters to you, read both privacy policies in full.
Where Yoodli is the better pick
- You want someone to talk back. Yoodli's AI plays the other person in a live roleplay. Dictalus doesn't do that.
- You're rolling it out to a team. Yoodli has team dashboards, SSO, and custom scenarios. Dictalus is for individuals.
- Your company requires a security certification. Yoodli says it is SOC 2 Type 2 certified and GDPR compliant. Dictalus's security certification is pending.
Where Dictalus is the better pick
- You want practice that doesn't run out. 5 scored reps a day, every day, free. Yoodli's free plan is 5 sessions total.
- You don't want a weekly cap. Dictalus Pro has unlimited scored reps for $59.99/year. Yoodli Pro is $96/year with up to 10 roleplays a week, and its unlimited Advanced plan is $20/month billed annually. Different formats, so compare what you'd actually use.
- You want to fix the mechanics. Every rep scores pace, filler words per minute, deliberate pauses, and your longest unbroken run, then gives you one concrete fix. Short enough to do in a coffee line.
- You want help in the meeting itself. The free live meter (a 10-second email sign-in) runs on your device during a real meeting. Nothing is recorded.
