What's new
Every release, newest first. Short list, real changes — the same rule as the reps.
July 28, 2026 — Dictalus is on the App Store
- The iPhone app is live. The full rep room — recording, scoring, curriculum, Pre-Game, the live meter — now installs like it always should have: download Dictalus on the App Store. Same account, same 5 free reps a day; your web history comes with you.
July 21, 2026 — Dictalus 1.3: Your voice has numbers now, plus two new tools
- Two new delivery metrics, read straight from your audio: Pitch variation (how monotone or lively you actually sounded, in semitones) and Energy (your loudness dynamics). Both compare you to your own recent reps — voices differ, so there is no universal chart.
- The Language arc: longer reps get a colored strip showing how your wording evolved — certainty (committed vs hedging) and tone (positive to negative), segment by segment. Tap any block to see the exact words behind it.
- New tool — Analyze a script: paste any talk, memo, or speaking notes and get the tone arc, the hedge map, written-in filler words, and speaking time at your measured pace. Nothing you paste is saved to your account. Pre-Game gains an "Analyze my plan" button.
- New tool — Live meter: run it during a real meeting for fully on-device awareness: live energy and pitch traces, speech share, a slow/steady/fast pace gauge, pause quality, and ending analysis — it counts endings that fade out or rise like questions, and nudges you in the moment. No audio is recorded or leaves your phone, ever.
- Smarter content feedback: the coach now judges your answer against the actual prompt — leading with your greatest strength when asked for it counts as leading with the point.
- See your path: drills are numbered, completed ones get a checkmark, modules show progress and a Complete ✓ state — and the suggested drill advances through the sequence instead of always starting at drill 1.
July 14, 2026 — Dictalus 1.2: Eight new drills, four new industries, fast scoring
- Eight new drills: joining a group conversation, sharing a 30-second personal anecdote, bridging between topics, breaking into a discussion politely, recovering the floor after an interruption, disagreeing without heat, using names naturally, and giving compliments specific enough to land.
- Four new industry lenses (Pro): Sales & customer-facing, Healthcare / clinical, Consulting & finance, and Academia & research — every lesson's examples rewritten for your field. Industry lenses are now a Pro feature; the full Business & tech lessons stay free for everyone.
- Fast scoring (Pro): turn it on in Settings → Privacy and your reps are transcribed by ElevenLabs Scribe — scores land in seconds, and filler words are caught more reliably because it hears you verbatim.
- Practice in your language: with Fast scoring on, reps in Spanish, German, Mandarin, and 90+ other languages are transcribed and scored for pace and pauses (filler-word detection is English-first for now).
- Off by default. Leave it off and transcription stays entirely on our servers, exactly as before.
July 13, 2026 — Dictalus 1.1: Pre-Game
- Pre-Game: got a real moment coming up? Name it, write your headline, back it with up to three points, land the ask — then rehearse it out loud as a scored rep. Your game plan stays on screen while you record.
- New Presence lesson sections: letting "yes" be a complete answer, and calibrating technical enthusiasm to the room.
- Pro: request custom industries and themes right from any lesson — tell us your field and we build the examples for it.
- Your audio, your call: Pro members can keep their recordings to listen back to any rep (Settings → Privacy). The default stays delete-after-scoring.
July 12, 2026 — The Learn library
- Twelve practical guides on filler words, pace, pauses, interviews, small talk, and sounding confident — each one ends with something to say out loud.
- A free speech pace calculator: paste a script, get words per minute, or time a talk at three paces.
- The cat got teammates: mic, headphones, and chart variants now close out every guide.
July 11, 2026 — Dictalus 1.0
- The full rep loop, live at app.dictalus.com: record a 30–90 second take, get scored on pace, fillers, and pauses, fix one thing, run it back. 5 free reps a day.
- Guided curriculum — 7 modules from Delivery to Presence, with lesson examples you can switch to your industry.
- Trends, streaks, offline reps that sync later, and you decide what happens to your audio (deleted after scoring by default).
- iOS app submitted to the App Store.
